WINTER HAIR TIP - DRY SCALP POLICE

Hey guys, hope your all enjoying the weekend. Monday couldn't arrived any sooner! After some serious holiday eating and boxing day shopping, I spent my Sunday sorting through hair extension orders and clearing out my closet getting rid of shoes, bags and clothes which seem to be pushed to the unwanted corner in my wardrobe! Since the weather changes more than we change our socks, this results in confused dry hair and scalp. while you enjoy your Sunday evening have a quick read on how to get rid of dry scalp and hair.

How can I make my scalp less flaky and dry?

In the winter, there's less humidity in the air, which can dry out your scalp. Dry scalp can be really annoying this time of the year so make sure you drink plenty of water and follow this little winter hair tip! Make a deep treatment with oil. Many people get hot oil treatments at salons and swear by their effectiveness but forget the salon when you can have the same result in the comfort of your own home! For this deep treatment, try to use virgin coconut oil or olive oil.

In a saucepan, warm up oil until it is warm but not too hot to touch. You are going to be applying the oil to your scalp, so keep that in mind.

  • Take oil off the heat and let cool for 30 seconds just to be sure. Apply to hair in sections, using hair clips if necessary. If you're worried about excessive oiliness, don't rub the oil too much into your scalp.

  • Wrap your hair in a shower cap or a plastic bag and let the oil work its magic for at least 30 minutes.

  • Rinse with warm water briefly and shampoo until oil is no longer pervasive, but not stripped from hair.

  • PONYTAIL

You have probably noticed this hairstyle which has been around for the last year or so, first hitting red carpets, runways and now hit the streets. Slicked back into a tight, low ponytail with a middle parting. This hairstyle looks so strong, fashionable, and confident. It takes guts to wear your hair super sleek and completely off your face like that. Kim Kardashian is my favourite with this hairstyle, she looks so strong, a ponytail like that doesn't look like it was just thrown together. A style like that is a very conscious decision and it has to be done right. Here are my essential tools for making sure you get your ponytail just right.

WINTER HAR TIP - FINGER COMB

So todays hair tip is on how to prevent split ends and damaging your hair by just touching it. Try wearing styles that don’t need much maintenance. You might be tempted to run your fingers through your hair and comb your hair throughout the day. Girls remember to avoid touching your hair too much! The extra manipulation can cause an increase in shedding as well as those annoying split ends. Styles like the top knot and fishtail braid will keep you from being tempted to finger-comb.

When it comes to hair products I always like to try different products to see and feel the difference, its always a case of trial and error. I was thrilled to hear from Richard Ward a celebrity hairdresser, who sent me two products from his new Chelsea Collection to review on here! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to try these new products!

So let me start with the ''Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Shampoo'' this shampoo contains his key ingredient, keratin! Which helps to create healthy hair by rebuilding the hairs natural hair, the hair absorbs the shampoo by entering the hair shaft resulting in luscious hair which Richard Ward is famous for creating. The smell, well what can I say it smelt AMAZING, I'm not kiddin' it has a beautiful scent containing Lychee and strigosa seeds. I also found the shampoo was detangle free my fingers were gliding through my hair. Now onto the conditioner, I used this after rinsing out the shampoo. Applied only to mid length and ends not the roots! The scent was beautiful as it contains amber, white jasmine, grapefruit, pear and apple!

Overall I'd definitely recommend for girls who have frizzy or dry hair as it left my hair feeling really soft, smooth and tangle free! The weather has been quite depressing here in the UK, which only means frizz bomb hair and dry ends! Thanks to these amazing products my hair now feels luscious and soft! WINTER HAIR TIP - DRY HAIR

Bonjour beauts! waking up to a storm was really unexpected, the rain and wind don't seem like they will be leaving us anytime soon so make sure your wrapped up and don't get blown away by the wind! Seen as the weathers turned bitterly cold I have a winter hair tip which I need to share... In winter, dry your hair before you leave the house! It really pays to get up half an hour earlier to blow dry your hair, or a couple hours to let your hair air dry. Of course, the time will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. And it will definitely be worth it to avoid the sneeze and snot fits you’ll have for days after.

HOW TO LOOK AFTER STRAIGHT HAIR

To make the most of straight hair, let your haircut do the talking: If your hair is on the thick side, go long. The weight will help prevent puffiness and to give it movement, add in a few graduated layers. If it’s finer, opt for a choppy shoulder/elbow length or a blunt bob. Both can create the illusion of fullness...

How to style it: Use a deep-cleaning shampoo. Scalp oils easily migrate down straight hair and can make it feel greasy a lot quicker than curly hair. Only apply lightweight conditioner on the ends only. Don’t load up on styling products, which can flatten. Instead, blow-dry with a smoothing paddle brush, aiming the air toward the ends. And the real secret to lustrous, shampoo-commercial hair? Rub shine serum between palms and apply on hair.

    Secret to Longer Lasting Shampoo

Hey beauts, is it just me or has this year completely flown by! so much has happened within a year and Iam so grateful for everything it has been quite an adventure and this is just the beginning!! 2014 is approaching and I'm so ready, are you! I will be launching my new human hair extensions range soon! fingers crossed! anyway what you've all been waiting to hear is, How to make shampoo longer lasting! Well I add water to my shampoo to make it last longer. But will it still clean hair as well? If it’s a concentrated shampoo that really lathers up (and takes a lot of water to rinse out), there’s no harm in adding water. A non sudsy shampoo could become too watered down to remove oils.
